[Intro] [Verse 1] It’s unmistakable, The feeling when I see you sitting there in comp-sci And is this real? That’s debatable Kind of took me from the blindside [Chorus] I neglected to see the signs of the Burning bridges in the night of blue And come daylight the sun rose to shine on the Golden bridges you built with someone new [Instrumental] [Verse 2] “Give it just three weeks or so,” they said “Just take some time to go and flirt with more open girls” And yet I find that’s impossible When all that’s on my mind is you, it’s true And reality is just what if’s, what if I found this ship in time to sail? Or am I just far too frail? If I had spent less time in the clouds, if I had seen them crashing down, what if? What if? It is a movie script In my head [Chorus] But I neglected to see the signs of the Burning bridges in my night of doom (in the night of doom) And come daylight the sun rose to shine on the Gleaming bridges you built with someone new (with someone new) [Instrumental] [Bridge] I try to scream But no one is listening ‘Cause my cry isn’t for help It’s for you and me and all I see, A different world that could’ve come to be That might’ve come to be [Chorus] But I neglected to see the signs of the Burning bridges as the dusk withdrew And come to dawn the sun rose to shine on the Strongest bridges you built with someone new [Instrumental] [Outro] In another perfect life We’d find our homes, we’d find our light x4

[Verse 1] Open up, you’re waiting for a Call you know will never come It’s all quiet on your front, you’ve Waited for a light to come Someone who knows and wants to know You’re waiting for a light you know won’t show And add the color to your life Develop all your reeling plight inside All the monochrome belief Still haunts the way you see The color in your life is Daydreaming by your open side, so Let the light shine down on you and See the shadow that you know is [Chorus] True, you’ve found someone like you and Now you haven’t any clue what to do The color you’ve beckoned for is Waiting for you by the door so Open up, you’re waiting for a call That won’t come [Instrumental] [Verse 2] Nearly four months, a hundred days You’ve waited for a light to come, to stay In your heart, you’ve come All this way just to go back to the start Everything you used to know Now has nothing left to show, the Color in your life is Gone, run away, run ‘till it’s out of sight So let the ashes fall and Build back up until you know it’s [Chorus] True and you’ve found someone like you And then you won’t have any clue what to do The color you’ve beckoned for Is it waiting for you by the door So open up, you’re waiting for a call That won’t come [Outro with saxophone solo]

Window Panes 04:28
[Intro] [Verse 1] Is it butterflies or pain? Sometimes it’s hard to tell Bridges I thought were made Burn just as well Was there hope and should it fade? Steady as it fell Wishfully I pay My change to the well [Chorus] ‘Cause we were the lights to shine from windows Deep into the night On the faces of the buildings That paint the midnight sky So while our passerbys see beauty In the city glowing bright These windows that are shining Are distant every time [Instrumental] [Verse 2] Was it just to salt the wound? Or maybe to get me back For some forgotten move I didn’t know was bad Maybe there’s something to prove That I just can’t exact Or maybe you haven’t much good As I thought you had Ooh, still I hold onto you [Chorus] ‘Cause we were the lights to shine from windows Deep into the night On the faces of the buildings That paint the midnight sky So while our passerbys see beauty In the city glowing bright These windows that are shining Are distant every time [Outro] Ooh, don’t let go Holding onto hope Through every hurtful note Ooh, holding onto hope Have to let you go

[Verse 1] Looking down, then look away For the sun isn’t what’s shining on my face Same old story that I know It’s the one that doesn’t pass by without note As the light strikes light brown streaks and the Magenta polyester, it gives me a touch of hope Until I read the story’s note Feel the heavy ocean air upon my face Waves crash and disappear without a trace Giving way to the sea, a constant change As the tenants of my mind shift their gaze Searching for another way [Chorus] And someday, somehow, these walls within which I’m enclosed Will raze themselves down, you suppose And someday, but not now, this sight of all that I’ve been shown will Hold my path, but my light is static today [Verse 2] While the bottoms of my heels begin to ache As I feign to comprehend another’s take As we walk, these damned words bring back Memories of all the things that I tried to ignore and forget But these words in silence are what’s needed to allow for something more Before falling into regret [Chorus] And someday, somehow, these walls within which I’m enclosed Will raze themselves down, you suppose And someday, somehow, but not now, the time’s out Just hold it back, ‘cause it’s all just static And some way it grinds down, ‘till all of this small talk’s exposed So let the film burn as it shows As skin meets skin, regrets grow thin, the thoughts are thought, no care for sin So don’t hold back, there’s no holding back anymore [Guitar solo and outro]
